The editors Prof. Dr. Lehmann, Dr. Engster und Mr. Nuss intend to collect and present the annual lecture series given at the "Althistorisches Seminar" at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen. The aim is to include the lectures not only given by scientists of the Göttingen University but also of those given by scientists from other universities. All contributors present their special projects or their current research. The range of the publications will cover the whole of the subject "old history".
